Western Washington University

Despite their gloomy and cold winter, Western Washington University’s team has recently headed on the water for practice. With the help of president Dillon Dunshee and 2 time USA National Waterski coach of the year, Terry Goodman, the team has been able to practice at Bordernline Lake and Lake Samish April through November. This year, Jaye Morris has not only lead the team but also the region taking first place in slalom and trick for the western region all-star team.

Western Washington is planning on hosting their spring tournament May 2nd and 3rd. The western region is very exited to attend this event to wrap up the season.

Chico State has been prevalent in the collegiate water ski community since 1978. Their team of 20+ has had the opportunity to compete in 17 NCWSA national championships. This team is full of energy on and off the water. Freshman, Sami Miller introduced herself into collegiate water skiing by placing 2nd overall in this year’s regionals at Ironwood, CA. We are exited to see how this fairly young team will do this upcoming spring season. They have recently set up tabling events, days at the lake, and informational meetings in order to generate new members for the spring 2015 season. “RED IS FAST!” Go Wildcats!
